Niamh is a passionate swim instructor with over six years of experience, qualified with both STA Level 1 and Level 2 Swim Teaching certifications. Since 2018, she’s worked with swimmers of all ages and abilities, combining technical knowledge with a supportive, patient teaching style. As an experienced open water swimmer, Niamh brings valuable insight into the mental and physical aspects of swimming beyond the pool, helping swimmers build confidence in all environments. At Tidal Swim Club, she’s dedicated to creating an encouraging space where every swimmer can thrive.

Sam Wilkinson
Chief Development & Training Officer (CDTO) & Founder
With over a decade in the industry, Sam is an experienced STA Level 2 Swim Teacher and former competitive swimmer. Since 2015, he’s worked with all ages and abilities, blending his technical expertise with insights from his competitive background. Known for his calm, motivating style, Sam helps swimmers progress with confidence. His commitment to personal growth and inclusive instruction makes him a trusted leader at Tidal Swim Club, ensuring every swimmer receives the support they need to succeed.

Matt Johnson
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & Founder
Matt began his journey in the swim teaching world at just 13 and is now a qualified Swim England Level 2 Teacher and Level 2 Coach. A former competitive swimmer and water polo player, he brings a strong technical foundation and a passion for helping swimmers build confidence in the water. With years of teaching experience across all ages and abilities, Matt’s enthusiasm and skill make him a driving force behind Tidal Swim Club’s inclusive and motivating culture.

Mike Brackstone
Consulting Director & Founder
Mike combines a strong focus on safety, fitness, and discipline with a passion for helping others in the water. A Royal Navy veteran and qualified Personal Trainer, he brings leadership and expertise to every session. Since moving into the swim industry, Mike has earned NPLQ Lifeguard and Pool Plant Operator certifications and is a qualified swim teacher. Drawing on his competitive swimming background, he creates a positive, encouraging environment where every swimmer can build confidence and reach their potential.
